Apollo Hospitals Hyderabad in association with the society for “Development & Implementation of Professional Curriculum for Communication in Healthcare” and in collaboration with National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India) conducted a conference COMMUNICON 2021 on 20^th & 21^st November, 2021 at Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad.

The conference was attended by several senior/junior doctors and luminaries from Hyderabad.

The conference was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Dr. (Smt.) Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry. Hon’ble Governor in her opening speech requested the organizers to conduct more such conferences on a national level so that all the stakeholders are benefitted and the instances of animosity between the health care providers and the patients are minimized. Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President NBEMS expressed that NBEMS would be making communication and patient safety a mandatory part of the curriculum of PG Courses.

Dr. Pratap C. Reddy, Chairman Apollo Group of Hospitals hosted the event at Apollo Hospitals. Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

The participants learned about the various nuances of communication protocols and were immensely benefitted by the conference.
