**Osteoporosis is the most commonly encountered orthopedic problem today. It means weakness in the bone matrix or weakness in the strength of the bone. This usually results due to old age, decreased exercise and vitamin D deficiency.
– Weak bones lead to chronic aches and pains and also are liable to fracture with simple trauma also. It is imperative to treat osteoporosis aggressively to ensure good lifestyle.
– Many patients in the age group of 20 to 30 are also falling prey to osteoporosis due to poor nutrition stress and low Vit D levels.
– A good exercise regimen along with proper nutrition and sun exposure is required for maintaining good bone health.
– Cycling and swimming are good forms of exercise which help in bringing down the problem of weak bones.
– Osteoporosis identified early and treated with medication ,lifestyle modification and exercise leads to better health and happy lifestyle.
