Eye Twitching

Eye Twitching is anuncontrollable,  repetitive blinking or spasm of the eyelid, it occurs mostly to the upper lid.  Most eye twitches come and go, although they can last for weeks or even months. It effects the eye muscles, resulting in blinking or spasm of eye lids.


  • Stress
  • Nutritional Imbalances
  • Tiredness
  • Exposure to bright lights
  • Fatigue
  • Eye Strain
  • Caffeine
  • Allergies
  • Alcohol
  • Smoking

Sometimes, the reason your eyelid is twitching cannot be found. This form of eyelid twitching lasts much longer and is often very uncomfortable. It can also cause your eyelids to close completely.


  • Continuous, uncontrollable twitching or spasms of eyelids
  • Blurry vision
  • Sensitivity to Light

Eye twitch usually goes away on its own within a few days or weeks. If not eyes may close automatically and there would be difficulty in opening your eyes. Restrict intake of Caffeine, Alcohol, Tobacco products, sleep more. Wash frequenlty eyes with cool water. If not visit your Doctor immediately.
