Apollo eyes growth via women’s clinics
Hyderabad: Banking on its small clinics format, Apollo Group of Hospitals on Tuesday announced it would set up women‘s clinics that would help women from different sections of the society to have access to better healthcare.
Women’s clinics are part of Apollo’s format clinics like “Reach” hospitals for tier-II and III cities, Cradle birthing centres, clinics and specialty centres like sugar clinics, dental clinics, day surgery centres.
The clinics, according to Dr Prathap C. Reddy, chairman of Apollo Group of Hospitals, will function six days a week, except Sundays. The clinics will be open from today.
“These clinics will help us grow as a brand and offer better healthcare to more women,” Dr. Reddy said. Announcing a slew of initiatives during the silver jubilee celebrations of Apollo Health City here, Sangita Reddy, executive director of Apollo Group of Hospitals, said another plan called the “Apollo’s Screening Plan (involving total health check-up at `5,900) aims to screen 25,000 people in 25 days.”
